Sparkie Fire Starter

Mon Feb 16 2009
The compact Sparkie Fire Starter from Ultimate Survival Technologies. This is a clever one hand use self contained flint and steel fire starter. We were recently given the opportunity to review these fire starters and these are the initial photographs we took before using them. These are just over two inches when closed and have a solid loop for attaching a lanyard or keyring. These are available in either orange or tan color with black trim.

A few still images from our video review of the first time we used the Sparkie from UST. It is obvious how many sparks come off of this handy fire starter

From the Ultimate Survival Technologies Website:

http://www.ultimatesurvival.com/images/UST-LOGO_2.jpgSparkie™, the newest fire starter from Ultimate Survival Technologies, features one-handed operation in a lightweight, compact design.

Built on the premise of the original BlastMatch™, Sparkie™ can be operated with one hand and start your fire even in the most adverse weather conditions.

Weighing less than one ounce, Sparkie™ is approximately one-third the weight and less than half the volume of its big brother the BlastMatch™. It features a reconfigured striker tab enclosure and spark bar. The compact body has a rubberized grip wrap giving you maximum control and comfort during use.

Would you like the small pictures to get larger?
Let us know, use the feedback form to request larger pictures.

It's a lot more work to load all the large pictures.
We are happy to do it if they are requested, but if not we leave them small to save time
